The Civil Aviation Search and Rescue Strategy and Program was approved by the Director of the CAD in compliance with the international standards.

The Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia is solely in charge of conducting search and rescue investigations in the Republic of Serbia in accordance with the Civil Aviation Search and Rescue Strategy and Program based on ICAO – Annex 12 of the Chicago Convention and the Air Transport Law.

The Directorate’s activities in Search and Rescue field include:

• Management of search and rescue centers;
• Search and rescue training procedures; and
• Selection of search and rescue team members.
